Actress Banda Jyothi no more
Character artist Jyothi, popularly known as Banda Jyothi, passed away at her residence here on Saturday. She has not been in the pink of health for the past 15 days and is said to have passed away in the sleep following a cardiac arrest. “She has been unwell for the past 15 days.
Hyderabad: Character artist Jyothi, popularly known as Banda Jyothi, passed away at her residence here on Saturday. She has not been in the pink of health for the past 15 days and is said to have passed away in the sleep following a cardiac arrest. “She has been unwell for the past 15 days.
Though we asked her to visit a doctor, she didn’t, citing that she has to take care of her bedridden mother. Her husband, who was out of town, told her that he would take her to a hospital once he returns, but there is no more time for her,” said a relative of Jyothi.
A discovery of late director EVV Satyanarayana, Banda Jyothi featured in films like Aame, Thokaleni Pitta, Ganesh, Bhadrachalam, Vijayaramaraju, Swayamvaram, Kalyanaramudu, Andhagadu and Urmila Dairy, among others. For the past couple of years, she has also acted in quite a few TV serials.
