Mission Kakatiya Phase II tenders deadline extended
Telangana government has extended the deadline for submitting the tenders for the tanks’ restoration works under phase-II of Mission Kakatiya till March 4. Irrigation principal secretary S K Joshi on Tuesday discussed the progress of phase-I works and the status on finalisation of tenders under phase-II, in a video conference conducted here on Tuesday.
Hyderabad: Telangana government has extended the deadline for submitting the tenders for the tanks’ restoration works under phase-II of Mission Kakatiya till March 4. Irrigation principal secretary S K Joshi on Tuesday discussed the progress of phase-I works and the status on finalisation of tenders under phase-II, in a video conference conducted here on Tuesday.
When questioned about the delay, the district officials informed Joshi that shortage of ground level staff was the main reason for delay the finalisation of estimations. Earlier, the department was asked to submit proposals before February 29. The deadline set for the works of phase-I was March 31.
The Secretary instructed the district officials to send a special report to the Chief Engineer's office about the details of non-payment of bills to agencies after March 31. Works taken up under National Project for Repair, Renovation & Restoration (RRR) and Japan International Cooperation Agency-funded schemes were also reviewed in the meeting.
