The Telangana government is introducing various government schemes for the welfare of the people, but the officials should speed them up in the field level so that people could benefit from the schemes.

Kamareddy: Telangana government whip and Kamareddy MLA Gampa Govardhan on Friday said: “The Telangana government is introducing various government schemes for the welfare of the people, but the officials should speed them up in the field level so that people could benefit from the schemes.”

Govardhan along with District Collector Yogita Rana reviewed the schemes being implemented in Kamareddy assembly constitu-ency here at Kamareddy MPDO Office. Speaking on the occasion, he said that officials should review all the government schemes thoroughly and should speak with people to ensure that schemes reach all the beneficiaries.
He asked the officials to address solve drinking water scarcity on war footing basis as people were staging protests for drinking water due to drought conditions prevailing in the district.

He instructed the officials to focus on double bedroom scheme and scrutinise the beneficiaries properly. Previous governments allotted house sites to the ineligible persons, the officials should now conduct enquiry and cancel them, he added.

District Collector Yogita Rana said that officials should take appropriate measures in selecting beneficiaries of 2BHK scheme. If ineligible persons are selected, government will take action against them, she added. She instructed the officials to take action to protect government land and arrange fencing across lands to protect them.

Yogita Rana informed that SRSP drinking water should be supplied from Mallannagutta drinking water scheme to 43 villages in this month.

District Joint Collector Ravinder Reddy, Additional JC Rajaram, Kamareddy Municipal Chairperson P. Sushma, RDO Nagesh and others attended the meeting.
