Banswada (Nizamabad): A Class I student of Someshwar Government High School died due to the snake bite on the school premises here at Someshwar village of Banswada mandal on Thursday. He suffered snake bite while playing cricket on the school premises. The victim identified as Dasari Ajay (6), a resident of Someshwar village, was studying Class I in the school.

The boy, along with his brother Anil, was playing cricket with other students on the school premises. They were using lemon instead of a ball. Ajay went into bushes to fetch the lemon, but a snake hiding in the bushes bit him twice on his hand. The boy’s mother, Vijaya, and school staff immediately rushed him to Banswada Government Hospital and administered first-aid.

However, as his condition turned critical, the doctors suggested them to take the boy to Nizamabad Government Hospital for better treatment. Ajay died while undergoing treatment at the hospital. The boy’s mother alleged that lack of tidy premises led to Ajay’s death. She sought justice to her family and demanded action against the responsible persons.
