GHMC to set up 33 health care centres

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation is all set to start 33 health centres under National Urban Health Mission (NUHM) in the city. GHMC commissioner B Janardhan Reddy announced this on Thursday after holding a review meeting with NUHM project director, Dr. Jyothi Budda Prakash. Janardhan Reddy said the project aimed to provide better medical facilities to the denizens.

GHMC commissioner B Janardhan Reddy announced this on Thursday after holding a review meeting with NUHM project director, Dr. Jyothi Budda Prakash. Janardhan Reddy said the project aimed to provide better medical facilities to the denizens.
This would be managed by urban community development wing duly coordinating with Mission for Elimination of Poverty in Municipal Areas (MEPMA), he added. The health centre would be set up in private establishments and they would be attached to urban health centres for maintenance, he said.
