Rally to create TB awareness
In a bid to generate awareness among people; the authorities of Tuberculosis (TB) Eradication Cell have planned to organise a rally from the Municipal Town Hall to the District Medical and Health Office on Thursday in the district. “Commemorating the World TB Day on March 24, we are planning to organize a rally to create awareness about TB among the masses.

TB is a communicable disease. Early detection and proper diagnoses can cure the disease,” says Dr. Mallikarjunappa, District TB Eradication Officer. According to the statistics, India accounts to one fourth of world’s TB patients. It is estimated that every year 20 lakh TB patients are being registered in the country.
The District Health Department is planning to procure advanced C.B. Not equipment for instant diagnosis of TB soon, informed Dr. Mallikarjunappa.
