Address drinking water issues: Minister
District Minister G Jagadish Reddy said that the government was keen on finding solution to the drought conditions and ready to cater the drinking water needs of the public. The Minister, along with District Joint Collector Dr N Satyanarayana, conducted a review meeting with the officials of RWS department and Mission Bhagiratha at Suryapeta RDO office on Friday.
Nalgonda: District Minister G Jagadish Reddy said that the government was keen on finding solution to the drought conditions and ready to cater the drinking water needs of the public. The Minister, along with District Joint Collector Dr N Satyanarayana, conducted a review meeting with the officials of RWS department and Mission Bhagiratha at Suryapeta RDO office on Friday.
He suggested the officials to be alert round-the-clock for the next two months for the welfare of the public. The officials were also directed to pay special attention while selecting agricultural wells and tractor tankers on hire basis for supplying drinking water to the public. Tahsildars and MDOs must work collectively at mandal level to address the water issues.
The government was decided to release water from Nagarjuna Sagar Left Canal and Alimineti Madhava Reddy Project (AMRP) to fill water bodies in the district in view of the ensuing summer. Minister Jagadish Reddy told the officials to work hard to complete Mission Bhagiratha works in time. He also told them to inform their superiors immediately in case of funds crunch. RWS SE Ramana, Mission Bhagiratha SE Vijayapal Reddy, Suryapeta RDO Srinivasulu and others participated in the meeting.
