In the last 24 hours, the recorded temperature was 42 degrees Celsius in Anantapur, 40.5 degrees in Kurnool, 40 degrees in Nandyal, 38.7 degrees in Jangamaheshwaram, 38.5 degrees in Nandigama, 37.1 degrees in Tirupati and Vijayawada,

Hyderabad: As severe hot spell is continuing in the two Telugu States, people continue to suffer from oppressed heat which has been rising consistently for the recent few weeks. In the last 24 hours, the recorded temperature was 42 degrees Celsius in Anantapur, 40.5 degrees in Kurnool, 40 degrees in Nandyal, 38.7 degrees in Jangamaheshwaram, 38.5 degrees in Nandigama, 37.1 degrees in Tirupati and Vijayawada, 37 degrees in Nellore and Arogyavaram respectively.

In Telangana, the Nizamabad district recorded 42.1 degrees, while it was 41.3 in Adilabad, 41.2 in Medak, 40.4 in Ramagundam, 40.2 in Nalgonda, 40 in Mahbubnagar, 39.8 in Hyderabad, 39.6 in Hanamkonda. According to the India Meteorological Department’s daily weather report of Telangana State, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places over the State in the coming two days, followed by dry weather across the State.
