Hyderabad: The Telangana State government is all set to conduct Sri Rama Navami celebrations at Bhadrachalam in Khammam district on a grand manner. Endowment Minister A Indrakaran Reddy and Roads and Buildings Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao held a review meeting on Sri Rama Navami celebrations at the Secretariat here on Monday.

Speaking to the media after the review meeting, Indrakaran Reddy and Nageshwar Rao said elaborate arrangements were being made for the mega event, which would begin on April 15. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, accompanied with his family members, would present Pattu Vastralu and Mutyala Talambralu to Lord Sri Rama and Goddess Sita on the occasion. Governor ESL Narasimhan would also be present to witness the holy marriage of the celestial couple.

Bhadrachalam, popularly known as Ayodhya of South India, was being decked up and the officials were told to make elaborate arrangements for the lakhs of devotees coming from two Telugu States, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and other States, the Ministers said.

The Ministers stated that this time the Sri Rama Navami celebrations would be celebrated on a grand scale. “We have asked the officials to make foolproof arrangements and facilities for the devotees coming from various places,” the Ministers said. Government Advisor KV Ramanachary, temple priests and other officials were present.
