Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) welcomed the launch of State Information Technology Policy - 2016 on Tuesday.

Hyderabad: Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) welcomed the launch of State Information Technology Policy - 2016 on Tuesday. The Telangana government, with an objective of making State the most preferred IT destination and for enhancing the capacity for growth of IT sector, has introduced a first-of-its-kind draft policy called Telangana IT Policy, according to TITA president Sundeep Kumar Makthala. “This policy is developed to create an industrial friendly and proactive climate for IT companies and hassle-free environment in Telangana State,” he added.
Welcoming the decision of the State government, Sundeep Kumar said these initiatives would attract more IT investments and in turn create employment opportunities to the educated youth of all sections of the society cutting across all regions. The aim of the policy was to spread IT to nook and corner of the State and would help in the socio-economic development of the State, he said. “The policy covers four major areas including innovation, centered on encouraging startups by providing infrastructure and technology knowhow needed by the budding entrepreneurs. The Telangana government in partnership with three of India’s premier academic institutes has started an incubator centre for startups called T-Hub, this move is aimed at creating white collar jobs in the State.
