Baby for sale in Mahbubnagar
Deserted by wife, a man put up his four-month-old daughter for sale on Monday. Mallesh of Lattupalli village was seen roaming around the market area pleading passers-by to buy his daughter. He sat in front of the DEO office for a while to sell his baby expressing his inability to nurse it.

Mallesh of Lattupalli village was seen roaming around the market area pleading passers-by to buy his daughter. He sat in front of the DEO office for a while to sell his baby expressing his inability to nurse it.
Mallesh had married for the second time since his first wife had no children. His second wife earlier too had given birth to a baby girl. Twenty days ago, she deserted her husband unable to groom the babies and left the home forcing Mallesh to put up his infant baby for sale in the market.
The locals alerted the ICDS authorities. They swung into action and took the babies with them. “We will counsel the parents. Even if they are not willing to take the babies back, we will take care of children,” said an official.
