Congress MLA from Mahbubnagar district, Rammohan Reddy who is the brother of former Congress minister DK Aruna announced his decision to quit Congress and join TRS. Rammohan Reddy met Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at his camp office on Wednesday where he was welcomed into the party with a pink khanduva.
Following several other MLAs paths in joining TRS, the MLA stated that his reason for the switch is to develop his constituency and added that KCR's determination to develop Telangana has influenced his decision. After Koram Kanakaiah, Kale Yadaiah, G Vittal Reddy and DS Redya Naik, Rammohan Reddy is the fifth Congress MLA to join TRS bringing the strength of the Congress Legislature Party in the Assembly to 14 from 21.
