More Congress leaders to join TRS
The Congress party in Telangana is in for more shock as a few more MLAs would be joining the TRS soon, according to Industries Minister Jupally Krishna Rao.
Hyderabad: The Congress party in Telangana is in for more shock as a few more MLAs would be joining the TRS soon, according to Industries Minister Jupally Krishna Rao.
At a press conference here at Telangana Bhavan, Krishna Rao did not indicate the names of those who would join the TRS but said that the Congress MLAs were in touch with the party leadership since they want to be part of ‘Bangaru Telangana’ and were attracted by the developmental actitivities taken up by the government.
The Congress during its tenure had pocketed the funds meant for welfare. Referring to the demand of Leader of Opposition K Jana Reddy and other leaders that the anti-defection law be amended, the minister questioned the Congress why it did not remember during the YSR regime about the law when it was poaching leaders from other parties.
Rao also lashed out at the senior Congress leader D K Aruna for her comments that TRS was creating rift among family members. “She has no moral right to talk about democracy and values in politics. Her brother had joined TRS as he liked the developmental activities of the government and new initiatives taken up by the Chief Minister.
