Hyderabad: The State government has decided to build administrative towers in the district to be carved soon. The towers are meant to house all important departments, including that of the district aCollectorate.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Friday held a high-level meeting with the officials and directed Collectors to identify suitable lands for the construction of government buildings in the new districts. The multi-storey building on 2.50 lakh square feet space would be constructed on a sprawling 12 acres of land in every district.

He wanted all the buildings should bear similar design and architecture and they should be connected with optic fibre and equipped with water harvesting system. He also directed the officials to build a helipad on the premises of Collectorates.

Facilities like big conference halls and huge parking place would also be provided. Barring a few departments like Police, La, Transco and TSRTC, the offices of nearly 30 wings would function under a single roof to facilitate people to represent to one or the other official.

Health and Family welfare, Revenue, Agriculture, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, etc officials would deliver their duties from the towers. State Planning Board Vice Chairman S Niranjan Reddy, Agriculture minister P Srinivas Reddy and Mission Baghiradha Vice Chairman V Prashant Reddy and others were present in the meeting.
