Hyderabad: Panchayat Raj Minister Jupally Krishna Rao on Thursday toured Cheemaldari village in Mominpet mandal to inspect the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS) works. He enquired from the officials, the nature of works being implemented under NREGS and their status.
The minister directed the officials to provide work to people in the villages and credit their wages directly into their bank accounts. He wanted the stipulated number of days of work to be provided to the people according to the provisions of the NREGS Act.
The minister further said that the poorest of the poor and their families would be provided housing, educational and medical facilities.
