Nalgonda: A public hearing on 4,000 MW-producing Yadadri power plant was concluded smoothly on Tuesday. The TSPCB conducted the public hearing on Yadadri power plant at the proposed site in Veerlapalem village of Damercharla Mandal. Addressing the gathering District Collector P Satyanarayana Reddy stated that about 80 per cent compensation was already paid to the land and house losers under the power project.

He informed that the remaining land and house losers would get compensation within a month. He said that the opinions of the public which were recorded during the public hearing would be sent to the government for further course of action. He informed that the voices of about 54 persons were recorded and written letters from 15 members were taken during the hearing.

MP Gutha Sukender Reddy, Miryalaguda MLA Bhaskar invited the government proposal to set up the 4,000 MW power plant at Veerlapalem. District police made tight security arrangements to avoid any untoward incidents during a public hearing meeting.
