Hyderabad: Majeedullah Farhat Khan, popularly known as Farhat Khan, was elected President of Majlis Bachao Tahreek (Save Majlis Movement), here on Sunday.
The position fell vacant due to the sudden demise of its former president Khayam Khan, the eldest son of well-known politician Amanullah Khan, who parted ways with Late Salauddin Owaisi, the MIM leader and formed the rival offshoot of MIM. Farhat Khan was elected at a meeting of party workers and well wishers held at Mehdi Function Hall near Dabeerpura Bridge.
