Hyderabad: Navipet in Nizamabad district recorded 5 cm of rain during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Monday as the trough now runs from Odisha to south Tamil Nadu across coastal Andhra Pradesh. Rain occurred at isolated places over Telangana State.

There was 4 cm of rain each in Sadasivanagar and Kamareddy, both in Nizamabad. The chief amounts of rainfall in Telangana State recorded (in cm) were: Zaffergadh 3, Boath, Palakurthi, Maddur, Khanapur, Dummugudem, Machareddy and Kothagudem 2 each. Gambhiraopet, Asifabad, Alampur, Venkatapuram, Chandrugonda, Yedapalle, Utnur, Eturnagaram and Mudhole received 1 cm each
of rain.

The Met office forecast thunderstorms with squall at isolated places in all districts on June 14. Light to moderate ain/thundershowers have been forecast during the next four days.

There was a marked rise in the day temperatures at one or two places in the State. They were above normal at a few places. The highest maximum temperature of 41 degrees Celsius was recorded in Ramagundam.

The other recordings in the State were: Adilabad, Bhadrachalam 40 degress Celsius each, Hanamkonda, Khammam 39 degree Celsius each, Nalgonda, Nizamabad 37 degree Celsius each, Hyderabad, Medak 35 degree Celsius each, Hakimpet, Mahbubnagar 33 degree Celsius each.
