Two children drown in pond
Two children who went out for fishing at the 8 Incline colony in the district on Saturday morning met with a watery grave. According to the Two-Town Police of Godavarikhani, the two children, Abdul Mohid (8) and Abdul Salman (6) came to their grand mother’s house on Friday evening.

On Saturday morning, they went out to play with their cousin M D Irfan. The children went to a small pond nearby and tried to catch fish. Accidentally, they slipped and fell into the pond. Irfan who was standing on the bank got scared and raised an alarm. The locals who rushed to the spot on hearing his cries tried to save them but to no avail. They were already drowned.
The Godavarikhjani Two–Town Circle Inspector of Police Deva Reddy, who rushed to spot on receiving information, fished out the two bodies and registered a case. A pall of gloom descended on the parents of the victims Abdul Moheen and Shabana who wept inconsolably.
