The Academy’s Honorary Secretary Prof K Narsimha Reddy has forwarded a communiqué to the Professor in connection with his selection. A formal ceremony to induct him into the TAS would take place at Hyderabad on  Thursday (June 23).

Warangal: A senior Professor in the Pharmacy Department of Kakatiya University, A Raghurama Rao has been selected as a Fellow of Telangana Academy of Sciences (TAS).

The Academy’s Honorary Secretary Prof K Narsimha Reddy has forwarded a communiqué to the Professor in connection with his selection. A formal ceremony to induct him into the TAS would take place at Hyderabad on
Thursday (June 23).

Prof Raghurama Rao has teaching and research experience of about 30 years and got six patents on his name.
He has guided 16 research scholars. He did post- doctoral research at ‘Institut fuer Pharmazeutische Chemie’ Muenster in Germany as DAAD Fellow.

He engaged teaching and hospital pharmacy services at Alrass College of Health Sciences, Gassim Province of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the Ministry of Health (MoH) for one and half years in the past. He also carried out research work in American and Britain universities.

He is the recipient of the prestigious Dr Manjushree Pal Memorial ‘Best Pharmaceutical Scientist Award’ in 2010 and also won All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Career Award for Young Teachers in 1995.

He is associated with editorial boards and professional bodies like Indian Journal of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (IJPER) and published over 60 original research publications including 45 international papers. He served as principal and head of University College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, KU.
