Hyderabad: TDP Telangana on Monday demanded that the State government convene an all-party meeting to discuss the Resettlement and Rehabilitation (R&R) of the displaced people under the Mallannasagar irrigation project in Medak district. Addressing the media, party president L Ramana warned the government that Telugu Desam would not relent till the oustees were provided proper R&R package under the Central Act.
The party has been opposing the enforcement of GO 123 issued by the State government for the rehabilitation of displaced at project sites. In a scathing attack on Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, the TDP leader asked why KCR as an MP maintained silence when the Land Acquisition Act-2013 was adopted in Parliament.
