Malaysia evinces interest in Telangana 2BHK scheme

The Malaysian government has evinced keen interest in the State government’s Two-Bedroom Scheme in Telangana State. This was disclosed in Kuala Lumpur by State Minister for Industries, Commerce, Mining, IT and Urban Development KT Rama Rao who is currently on a tour of Malaysia to garner investments for the State.

Hyderabad: The Malaysian government has evinced keen interest in the State government’s Two-Bedroom Scheme in Telangana State. This was disclosed in Kuala Lumpur by State Minister for Industries, Commerce, Mining, IT and Urban Development KT Rama Rao who is currently on a tour of Malaysia to garner investments for the State.

According to a press note issued here on Friday, the Malaysian Minister for infrastructure Dato Seri S Samy Vellu expressed his interest in the State Government’s scheme when KTR met him to discuss the investment opportunities in manufacturing, electronics, IT and automobiles areas in Telangana State.

The press note states that KTR explained various schemes of Telangana and future planning to Dato and invited him to study the areas of mutual cooperation in trade relations and requested him to take up a dedicated industrial park in Telangana for Malaysian companies.

KTR also offered all assistance and handholding required for setting up joint ventures in Telangana State and informed him that a portal would be set up shortly listing out all possible small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for investors who are looking for JV partnerships in the State.

The State Minister later met ASEAN India Business Council members and explained to them about Telangana and the unique features of various schemes and policies of the TS government and how it aims at attracting investments in manufacturing, services, IT, electronics and pharma sectors.

ASEAN India Business Council Chairman Ramesh requested the State Minister to set up a country desk office in Malaysia. KTR also met Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (commonly referred to as MRCB) Chairman Azlan Zainol and Group Managing Director Mohamad Salim Fateh Din and requested them to consider the proposal of building intercity bus terminals (ICBT) and a convention centre with international standards in Hyderabad city.
