​Nalgonda: Minister from the district, G Jagadish Reddy, said that an historical event was going to be take place on July 8 with plantation of 70,000 saplings in one minute along the NH-65 in the district.

On Tuesday, he along with Munugodu MLA Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy visited the spot and examined the arrangements at the Choutuppal agriculture market where Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao would be planting the sapling to launch massive plantation programme officially along the National Highway-65 starting from Dandu Malkapuram in Choutuppal mandal to Telangana border village Nallabandagudem in Kodad mandal.

Later, addressing the media, he said United Andhra rulers ruined all sectors in Telangana including forests. He said that the government’s flagship programme Haritha Haram would bring back the lost greenery and water table in the State.

He listed out the TRS government’s schemes and the progress of the State in the last two years. He urged the people of the district to participate in the 8th massive plantation to make it a grand success. Besides Minister’s visit, Haritha Haram OSD Priyanka Varghese along with District Collector P Satyanaryana Reddy and SP Prakash Reddy visited the Choutuppal agriculture market and enquired about the details and arrangements of the programme from the district administration.
