Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) on Friday planted 1.37 lakh saplings on day-1 of Telanganaku Haritha Haram

​Hyderabad: Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) on Friday planted 1.37 lakh saplings on day-1 of Telanganaku Haritha Haram.SCCL Chairman and Managing Director N Sridhar planted a sapling in the premises of Singareni Bhavan in the city. He said that total SCCL family was taking part in the initiative to reach the set target of planting 50 lakh plants.

SCCL miners, officers and their family members from all the 11 areas of company took active part in the ‘Haritha Haram’ drive on Friday and planted a record number of 1.37 lakh saplings in an area of 69 hectares of vacant land, colonies of the company on the first day.

The SCCL Directors lead the massive plantation programmes in various places including Director (Operations) B Ramesh Kumar in Ramagundam-3 area, Director (Planning-Projects) A Manohara Rao in Srirampur area, Ramagundam-3 area, Bhoopalapalli area, Director (Finance) J Pavithran Kumar in Manuguru area and Kothagudem, Director (E&M) P Ramesh Babu in STPP where about 10,000 employees, family members and students took part in the programme.
