10 year old accident victim dies
The 10-year-old girl, victim of a car accident that took place at Banjara Hills Road No.3 on July 1, died on Saturday after battling for life for 10 days. The deceased girl, Ramya, was put on ventilator at Care Hospital.
Hyderabad: The 10-year-old girl, victim of a car accident that took place at Banjara Hills Road No.3 on July 1, died on Saturday after battling for life for 10 days. The deceased girl, Ramya, was put on ventilator at Care Hospital.
It may be recalled that on July 1, Ramya (10) along with her mother Radhika, uncles P Rajesh (38), Ramesh and grandfather Madhusudhan were injured when a speeding car coming from opposite direction which was being driven by a drunken engineering student hit the divider and fell on their car.
Due to the impact, Rajesh who was driving the other car died on the spot, while Radhika and Ramya who suffered grievous injuries were admitted to Yashoda hospital. Ramya was later shifted to Care Hospital in Banjara Hills when her health condition deteriorated.
The same day, she was declared brain dead and was put on ventilator. On Saturday, the doctors at Care Hospital declared Ramya dead despite their best efforts, while the girl’s mother is still undergoing treatment. The police had earlier arrested the engineering student Shraveel and remanded him to judicial custody on charges of causing death due to negligence.
