The Telangana State government on Tuesday brought to the notice of the High Court that a person was squatting on 2,000 square yard plot in the prime locality of Road No. 12 at Banjara Hills on the basis of forged documents.

The revelation came in the context of a writ petition filed by Madhav K Varakedkar, challenging the attempts of the Revenue authorities in getting him evicted from his 2,000 square yards plot in Survey Number 129/104.

While the petitioner contended that that he had patta and title over the land which were recognised by earlier governments and that he bought it from certain individuals through registered sale deeds.

Government pleader C V Bhaskar Reddy pointed out that the survey number being cited by petitioner is a non-existent one and even the documents being showed by him were fabricated papers.
