Hyderabad: A delegation of Telangana Telugu Desam Party leaders called on Governor ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan here on Tuesday seeking his intervention over allotment of rooms on the Assembly premises.

Speaking to the media, Telangana TDP Working President A Revanth Reddy alleged that Legislative Assembly Speaker S Madhusudana Chary’s decision to take away Room Nos 107 and 110 from the Telugu Desam Legislature Party (TDLP) was “unconstitutional”.

He said both the rooms were allotted to Assembly Committees without giving any intimation to the TDLP. He alleged that the Speaker has been acting like a TRS worker and accused him of not protecting the rights of Legislative Assembly members.

Describing the Speaker’s decision as politically motivated, he said that the TDLP could not be deprived of its right to have office space on the Assembly premises. Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy and other senior leaders were part of the delegation that submitted the representation to the Governor.
