Parigi, Tandur (Ranga Reddy): In a property-related dispute, Telugu TV actress Sri Vani and her sister-in-law Anoosha locked horns over the former’s attempts to dispose of a piece of property barely two months after the death of the latter’s husband, Babji.

Anoosha charged Sri Vani with trying to assault her for resisting her attempts to sell a site belonging to her deceased elder brother. According to a complaint lodged with the Parigi police, she said that Sri Vani and those who accompanied her tried to assault her.

Sri Vani, in turn, lodged a complaint against her sister-in-law charging her with assault. On Wednesday, Anoosha lodged a complaint with Mahila police at Vikarabad against Sri Vani. The Vikarabad police confirmed that a case was registered against Srivani.

Following registering of a case, Vikarabad Circle Inspector Nirmala launched investigation into the complaint. She enquired from Babji’s neighbours who used to reside in the house of Babji along with the family. They also sought information about the cause of death of Babji. Babji reportedly died of kidney failure and was on dialysis for sometime before his death.

In the disputed house, only Babji and his wife Anoosha used to live. The couple has no children. At this juncture Sri Vani allegedly entered the scene making the disputed land a bone of contention between the two. The residents of Parigi threw their weight behind Anoosha.

Meanwhile, Sri Vani who visited her sister in Tandur turned tables on Anoosha accusing her of foisting false case against her. She said that she was ready to give up her claim on property if anyone were to prove that she owned property in Parigi.

She declared that the property in Parigi would be divided as per the desire of her father Koteswara Rao. She accused her sister-in-law of foisting false case of dowry harassment only to sling mud against her. However, it is not clear whether the property is self-acquired by the deceased brother, Babji or inherited from his father.
