KU journalism dept journal released
At a programme held at Kakatiya University on Sunday, the Speaker released ‘KU Xpress\', a lab journal brought by the KU journalism department on Sunday.
Warangal: Journalism plays a key role in educating the people and shaping their personality, said Assembly Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary. He described journalism as an outstanding profession and lauded the journalists for their selfless service to the
society.
At a programme held at Kakatiya University on Sunday, the Speaker released ‘KU Xpress', a lab journal brought by the KU journalism department on Sunday.Addressing the gathering on the occasion, he stressed on the need of investigative journalism for the benefit of the society. He said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has been working for the welfare of the journalists in the State and advised the
students to work hard to excel in the career.
MLA Dasyam Vinay Bhasker said that the KU journalism department has produced several journalists and appealed the journalists to take part in creating a ‘Golden Telangana’.
Mayor N Narender has asked the journalism students to come up with thought provoking news stories in their lab journal. The KU in-charge Registrar Prof G Benerjee, KU SDLCEDirector Prof Ch Dinesh Kumar, Deputy Mayor Khaja Sirajuddin, TRS district president T Ravinder Rao, KU PRO V Krishnamacharya, journalism department head S Malleshwar, faculty member Kanjarla Narsimha Ramulu and others were present.
