​New Delhi: A two-judge bench of the Supreme Court consisting of Justice S A Bobde and Justice Ashok Bhushan here on Friday issued a notice to the accused in the cash for vote case, Jerusalem Mattaiah, to respond to the petition filed by the Telangana State government challenging the High Court order quashing the case against him.

Senior Counsels Shakhar Nafte and Harin Rawal, appearing on behalf of the government, told the bench that there was enough evidence against Mattaiah and yet the High Court thought it fit to give him a reprieve.
