Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) in association with Nalla Narasimha Reddy Engineering College adopted Pratapasingaram village in Ghatkesar Mandal, Ranga Reddy District to make it 100% Digitally Literate Village under "Digithon" initiative, has organized the Digital Literacy programme on 5th August, 2016.

The programme was inaugurated by the Honourable MLA Shri Malipeddi Sudheer Reddy Garu. Sri Nalla Narasimha Reddy, the Chairman of the Nalla Narasimha Reddy Education Society’s Group of Institutions, Dr. C.V.Krsihna Reddy, Director of the Institution, Sarpanch of Pratapasingaram village and Sri Sanjeev, MPTC have participated in the Digital literacy programme. On behalf of Telangana Information Technology Association, Sri Sandeep Kumar, TITA President, Members Sri Kiran Jetley, Vanam Venkat, Sri Pradeep have actively participated in the Digital literacy programme. On behalf of National Digital Literacy Mission, Government of India, Shri Shiva Kumar, has participated in the programme and created awareness to the villagers on the digital literacy.

As part of this initiative, TITA has successfully completed the first stage of "Digithon household survey" to choose the right one from each household out of total 500 households, which are easily susceptible for learning of Digital Literacy. Digithon identified 137 digital illiterate households in Pratapasingaram village.

The Nalla Narasimha Reddy Education Society’s Group of Institutions has taken this initiative as a measure of Corporate Social Responsibility and Mr. T.Pavan Kumar, HoD, Mechanical Engineering Department and President of the TITA NNRG Student Chapter along with the Members of the Faculty and students have enthusiastically participated in the said programme to get awareness among the villagers.

This programme will be conducted every Sunday (for four weeks ) with effect from 14-8-2016 (Sunday) from 9-00 AM to 2-00 PM and the training classes will be conducted in the premises of the Nalla Narasimha Reddy Education Society’s Group of Institutions, Chowdariguda, Ghatkesar Mandal, Ranga Reddy Dist., Hyderabad.
