Hyderabad: Ranga Reddy district Collector Raghunandan Rao has asked Education department officials to extend quality education and food to the students and create a congenial atmosphere for students in the Minority residential schools started during 2016-17.

He reviewed the working of Minority residential schools and model schools with the authorities here on Wednesday. “Teachers should be there in schools to teach all the subjects and they should clarify students’ doubts,” he said. He asked the authorities to maintain the school surroundings hygienic.

The District Collector said that the hostel students should be provided food as per the government prescribed menu. “If the food supplied to the students is found to be sub-standard, those who are responsible for it would be black-listed,” he warned.

The enrollment in the schools should be increased sensitising parents. He directed engineering officials to complete the construction of model schools by December.

Raghunandan Rao further directed the DEO to start classes from September 1 in model schools buildings which were ready in places like Chevella, Marpally and Nawabpet. He called for increasing the enrolment rate of students in Minority residential schools for Girls.

Joint Collector Amrapali, Divisional Revenue Officer Dharma Reddy, DEO Ramesh, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan project officer Srinivas and others took part in the meeting.
