Hyderabad: Former Maoist Thota Kumaraswamy alias Tech Madhu, was sent to police custody for a period of six days from Friday. Tech
Madhu was arrested by the Bhongir police for having links with slain gangster Nayeemuddin. He is also facing the allegations of
supplying weapons to Nayeem and his gang members.

Following a plea by the RGIA police, the Rajendranagar court on Friday granted permission to take custody of Tech Madhu and Md Abdul
Faheem, associates of Nayeem.

During investigation of Nayeem’s case, the police found that Madhu used to purchase new-born baby girls from gullible people living in
remote areas of Telangana and other states and sold them to Nayeem’s mother-in-law. Tech Madhu, a former maoist who surrendered
before police in 2006, was arrested by the SIT police on August 12. He was a technical expert in making weaponry. Madhu was named as
accused number 16, in the Arms Act case booked against Nayeem and his associates.
