Interacts with residents of Erravalli and Narsampet villages; exhorts them to carry out agricultural works in a systematic manner

Medak: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has exhorted the people of Erravalli and Narsampet villages here to strive for the development of their villages. At a meeting with the villagers here on Wednesday, KCR said Erravalli and Narsampet need to be transformed as model villages. “The villagers have to cooperate with each other and participate in development process. The other villages in the State have to emulate Erravalli and Narsampet villages,” he added.

The Chief Minister said drip irrigation works were going on in both the villages. “The people have to dig 50 to 60 bore-wells in two villages with government expenditure. Godavari water will come within two years. Then there won’t be any problem of water. The ground water level would increase with the water reaching the tanks. With Mission Kakatiya works, more water will reach the tanks,” he added.

The Chief Minister said that tanks would be full now for the next one year at least. “The rains have occurred and now there will not be any problem even next year. The adequate rains occurred due to God’s blessings. The drought prevailed in the State due to El Nino effect. The El Nino effect was over now and La Nino effect has started. The scientists are saying that the La Nino effect will be on for the next six to 12 years. Therefore, rains would be good for next six years at least,” he said.

Chandrashekar Rao advised the farmers to carry out agricultural works in a systematic manner. “The first crop has gone waste due to bad weather conditions. The villagers have to now co-operate with each other to get good yields from second crop. The farmers have to grow vegetables using Shade Nets,” he advised them.

He asked the villagers to construct community halls. “The double bedroom houses will be completed speedily. The government will extend its co-operation in all aspects. All villages and districts have to develop in grand manner. The God has given good rains. I pray to God to give an opportunity to cultivate third crop too this year,” he stated.

The Chief Minister wished economic growth for women. The women would be good in finance management. “Do not estimate women to be powerless. In Russia, women run 90 per cent of the flights. It’s a fact. Not to laugh at my words. Our former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi ran the nation wonderfully. The women will achieve anything if given a chance to them. We have to give a chance to women to look after the house. The women will manage the money wisely that comes through eggs and milk,” he said.
