Medak: Congress workers barged into the room where the first Prajavani (grievance redressal) was being held in Medak District Collectorate on Monday, literally ignoring the queue system which was being followed by others for more than an hour to get their turn to submit their petitions to the District Collector.

A group of around 20-25 Congress workers, led by former ZPTC chief Mamilla Anjaneyulu, who currently holds no political office, directly entered the room by literally pushing the doormen aside.

It looked more like a scene straight out of a Bollywood movie, but they also left the room as fast as they entered (this time walking out slowly and leisurely as they were trying to fit into the exit door), even as the queued-up people were looking at them, still waiting for their turn, after Anjaneyulu submitted a memorandum listing out their grievances, to the Collector.

People who were standing in queue, claiming to be the workers and farmers affected by the closure of Nizam’s Deccan Sugars Limited (NDSL), complained to the District Collector that they were laid off without any prior notice and that their salaries for the past 10 months weren’t paid.
