Hyderabad: As part of the holistic development of Brahmin community in the State, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Sunday announced the setting up of a Brahmin Corporation and construction of a Brahmin Sadanam in a sprawling 10 to 12 acres of land in the city.

The Sadanam would provide hostel facility to poor students pursuing higher education and accommodation to the Archakas visiting Hyderabad. The architecture of the Sadanam would reflect the Brahmin culture and their traditions in true spirit, the Chief Minister said.

KCR who held a marathon meeting with the representatives of Brahmin community with State Adviser (Culture) KV Ramanachary, MP Captian Laxmikantha Rao and AP former Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao and others, discussed about the welfare measures with them.

He also constituted a nine-member Adhoc Committee comprising Ramanachary, CL Rajam, Sivashankar, Rangarajan and others, to speed up the works for the Sadanam. Krishna Rao and Former AP DGP Aravinda Rao would be the special invitees to the Committee meetings.

The Chief Minister said that the government would adopt multi- pronged strategy for the all-round development of Brahmins. The Chief Minister asserted that the promotion of spirituality would be given impetus as people were getting more and more attracted towards divinity.
