Hyderabad: IT Minister K T Rama Rao Saturday emphasised the need for encouraging artistes in the State.

Participating in a Telangana Kala Mela at People’s Plaza here, KTR said the State has become popular for various art forms that reflect
Telangana culture and tradition. The presentation of the art forms shows Hyderabad in a different perspective, KTR said. Stating that
there was a need for supporting artistes, the minister said the Telangana government will encourage the art forms and bring every artiste
to limelight.

The IT Minister also stated that Hyderabad should be reshaped into an attractive and beautified city with all facilities.

For this, the artistes and art forms will be encouraged in a big way, he maintained. KTR also asked the GHMC officials to protect
government assets and take stringent measures against those indulging in wall writings.

He expressed displeasure at the wall writings that appear at main roads and thoroughfares which was not good.

The GHMC should not hesitate and remain idle by taking serious action against TRS leaders and activists for involving in wall writings.
KTR exhorted the people to shoulder the responsibility to keep Hyderabad city beautiful.
