In the wake of the demonetization drive being adopted all across the country, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao conducted a review meeting with the officials over the approach to be followed for the move.

The Chief Minister advised the officials to encourage digital transactions in the state and announced that Ibrahimpur village has become the first village in South India to go cashless.

Appreciating the development in Ibrahimpur village, KCR said that soon Siddipet constituency will also become cashless. Speaking further on demonetization, he said that while he welcomed the decision taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, at the end of the day, it is the decision of central government and a state government has no option left than to follow the guidelines.
