Hyderabad: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) to seek death punishment for the five Indian Mujahideen (IM) operatives, convicted on Tuesday, in the 2013 Dilsukhnagar twin bomb blasts case. As many as 18 people including an unborn child were killed and 131 others were injured in the blasts carried out by the IM operatives on February 21, 2013 in the busy market area of Dilsukhnagar.

The special court for NIA cases will be pronouncing the quantum of punishment on December 19, 2016 after hearing to the defence and prosecution. Speaking to media after the conviction, NIA special public prosecutor, Surender Rao said the agency will argue for maximum punishment to the convicts.
