Hyderabad: The state government, which had decided to put on hold its earlier decision to construct new Secretariat building by demolishing the existing one, is analysing ‘vastu doshas’ in each block that have been allotted to the Telangana government for taking up necessary corrections and make it vastu-compliant.

A top official of the R&B department shared with The Hans India that the government was finding alternatives to avoid construction of new secretariat which is estimated at the cost of Rs 300 crore to Rs 400 crore.

The right option before the government following demonetisation is to remove vastu doshas in each block and set the things right.

Towards this end, vastu experts are being consulted and their opinion is being sought, the official said.

Based on the recommendations, the department would prepare necessary plan, including altering the main entrances to the buildings, parking facility, additional constructions, if any required to correct the doshas.

The official said that the new proposal was still at preliminary stage which is to be placed before Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for his consent.

Initially, vastu corrections would be done in C Block where the CMO office is located and the D Block where all ministers’ chambers are housed. Later, the study would be conducted in Blocks A and C.

The administrative blocks H North and South, J, K and L blocks allotted to the Andhra Pradesh would also be studied to find out whether there was any need for vastu corrections.

Except J Block where the office of the AP Chief Minister is located, all the other blocks are vacant after all the departments shifted to Amaravati, the new capital of Andhra Pradesh.
