​Jangaon: In a bizarre incident, a 24-year-old hijra, Raksha, was allegedly thrown out of a moving train by an unidentified passenger near Raghunathapalli in Jangaon district on Tuesday.

According to the railway police, a clash reportedly took place between the passenger and hijra when the latter demanded money from him.

The clash took place during the noon hours when the train reached Alair station and it got subsided after sometime.

But when the train reached Raghunathapalli, the passenger involved in the clash kicked Raksha from behind while the person was sitting on footboard of the train counting the days’ collection of cash.

Raksha, who fell down in the bushes by the side of the railway track from the train, managed to reach the main road.

The locals, after learning about Raksha’s plight, called an ambulance and took the victim to Jangaon Area Hospital.

The doctors at the hospital, after preliminary treatment, referred the victim who suffered serious head injury to MGM Hospital in Warngal.

The patient’s condition is said to be critical. Kazipet GRP CI S Venkatesh said that no complaint was registered with them in connection with the incident. Raksha belongs to Chandanagar area in Hyderabad.
