30 pc of building plans junked
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation is rejecting about 30 per cent of building plans for not marking green strip in them.

Besides this, the officials have also decided not to issue occupancy certificate to the buildings without rain water harvesting (RWH) pit on their premises.
The civic body has amended the building permission rules and made it mandatory to maintain 30 per cent greenery and a rain water harvesting pit to minimise the air pollution levels and improve groundwater levels.
But the building plans are submitted without adhering to the amended rules. A senior official told The Hans India that the GHMC would not issue building permission or occupancy certificate for the building constructed in violation of amended rules.
The official said the GHMC had appealed to the citizens to upload their building plan online by following the guidelines in order to receive the permission.
The software will reject the applications if plan does conform to the norms. Building plans are being resubmitted by following all parameters.
