Sircilla will see development on all fronts, assures KTR
Minister for Information Technology K T Rama Rao participated in various developmental activities in Sircilla district on Thursday and observed that Sircilla constituency is going to develop in all sectors.
​Sircilla: Minister for Information Technology K T Rama Rao participated in various developmental activities in Sircilla district on Thursday and observed that Sircilla constituency is going to develop in all sectors.
He laid foundation stone for the construction of a bridge and check dam at a cost of Rs 75 lakh on Jillala-Mustabad road and for laying CC road and drainage canals at a cost of Rs 20 lakh in Ramachandrapuram village along with construction of Panchayat building at a cost of Rs 13 lakh Narasimhapalli village.
Speaking at a meeting held in Chinnalingapuram village, the IT Minister said in just two and half years the government had invested Rs 2.23 crores for the developmental works at Chinnalingapuram village. “It is the responsibility of the people’s representatives and local people to spend that money for developmental activities and to complete the works within time,” he suggested.
The government was determined to uplift the weaker sections and introduced various welfare schemes. The government is farmers friendly and is committed to the welfare of the farming community. It had waived off Rs 1.25 crores of farm loans of 322 farmers in the State and has been supplying uninterrupted power for nine hours.
He assured the Sircilla constituency people that they should not be having any problems with government welfare schemes. Under Mission Bhagiratha project, every household will be supplied with safe drinking water by constructing water tanks in the village.
The government has introduced pensions to widows, aged persons and beedi workers, supplying fine quality rice to hostel students, giving six kg rice to poor on ration cards and releasing Rs 51,000 to poor parets under Kalyana Lakshmi and Shadi Mubarak schemes and many more for the welfare of poor people.
