The district administration has planned to conduct summer camp for government school students from April 24 to June 10. Students from 5th to 10th standards, who are interested in arts, music and classical dances, can enrol for the camp. 

Mahbubnagar: The district administration has planned to conduct summer camp for government school students from April 24 to June 10. Students from 5th to 10th standards, who are interested in arts, music and classical dances, can enrol for the camp.

As part of this, District Collector Ronald Rose has directed the concern school officials to prepare a comprehensive plan for the summer camp. “This year’s summer camp all students from 5 to 10 standards will be trained in arts, music and classical dance during the month long training programme. According to their interest, the students will be categorised in to groups. Each programme will have 30 candidates and they will be grouped according to their age and field of interest,” the Collector said.

A registration fee of Rs 100 will be collected from each student. The entire training programme will be for 40 days. While conducting a review meeting at Bala Kendram in the district, the District Collector directed the authorities to prepare a comprehensive plan to ensure that the students get maximum benefit from the summer camp.

An amount of Rs 2.50 lakh has been allocated to set up a shed, electricity, drinking water facility and toilets for the training programme during the summer camp. As part of the training schedule, the students will be given value education and will be imparted knowledge of Mahabharata.

As part of the camp the students will be trained in Yoga from 5-7 AM every day, for which the authorities are directed to conduct 10 Yoga training schedules to each batch of students in the summer camp.
