Nizamabad: International President of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP)Dr Praveen Togadia urged people to elect those Chief Ministers and Prime Minister who would protect the culture of Hinduism and the interests and rights of Hindus. Inaugurating the newly constructed building of the VHP at Adarshnagar in the city on Wednesday, he said that he was able to pursue his MBBS course for Rs 300 in the year 1975 though he was born in a farmer’s family.

But things have changed and now, it has become very difficult and candidates have to at least one crore of Rupees to pursue an MBBS course, he lamented. Medical and engineering courses have become very expensive, he bemoaned. Dr Praveen Togadia said that the the VHP has prepared an action plan to prevent starvation of the people, eradicating illiteracy totally from the country and providing jobs to the people, especially the youth.

Moreover, the VHP would also take steps to make medical education available to the poor and the downtrodden among the Hindu community. The VHP leader said that efforts would also be made to encourage Hindus to become traders and industrialists.

The VHP would also strive to protect the interest of the farmers and enhance their income levels. He lashed out at those who were encouraging ‘love Jihad’ and asserted that such things were against Hindu culture. He said that the VHP would punish those who hoist the Pakistani flag on the Indian soil.

He said that the VHP would not tolerate anybody who attack Hindu women and those responsible for it would be punished severely. Hindu women should be protected from the anti-social elements of other religious groups, he added. Later, they took out a huge rally in the main localities of the town.
