Hyderabad: Commissioner and Director of Municipal Administration (CDMA) will be holding a meeting with the municipal commissioners on Friday on digitisation of records as part of the implementation of Ease of Doing Business (EODB) in the Urban Local Bodies (ULBs).

T K Sridevi, Commissioner of Municipal Administration, issued instructions in this regard to the municipal commissioners. She said the meeting would be held for Warangal and Hyderabad regions separately and directed the commissioners to come with certain details.

Sridevi said the government took the initiative under Ease of Doing Business and stood first in the country during 2016. Now, for 2017, certain tasks were delegated by the Centre which the State government would take as a priority under Ease of Doing Business.

The new initiatives delegated by the Centre include creation of land registry, digitisation of land records, digitisation of vacant land and property tax records, mutation process, establishment of property registration enablers and construction permit enablers, building plan approval system, providing trade license and water tap connection through an online process.

On a pilot basis, the CDMA had successfully integrated the records of ULBs under dispute and prohibited properties of Inspector General of Registrations and Stamps (IGRS) Department along with cadastral maps. This had to be adopted by other ULBs and some prerequisite activities have to be taken up in this regard.

CDMA developed online trade license issue process and online water tap connection process system for the online mutation process. This year, under Development Permission Management System (DPMS), change of land use and occupation certificates would be introduced along with other tasks for which software requirements are completed and to enable this requirement, CDMA had procured required hardware for all the ULBs.

Therefore to have comprehensive discussion about the completion of the task under EODB, a meeting was proposed with all the ULBs staff like municipal commissioners and others. The meeting would also review the Swachh Bharat Mission.

The municipal commissioners will carry information about their revenue details of taxes and non taxes along with other details like number of assessments, demand and collection of property tax, vacant land assessments details, existing Aadhaar numbers captured details, contact numbers of all the assessments, trade license details, water tap connection details, status of various modules in e-Suvidha, advertisement tax, vacant land tax, property tax, mutation details from June 10,2016, DPMS status, E-Office status, and programmes under Swachh Bharat Mission, an official said.
