Sangareddy: The BJP, Telangana State unit, has set a target for itself to win the elections in Telangana State in 2019. As part of the strategy, the BJP will form booth level committees to take the message of Centrally-sponsored schemes to all villages.
It will also spread the message of ‘Antyodaya,’ the principle of ‘serving poorest of the poor first,’ as envisioned by BJP’s ideological guru Deen Dayal Upadhyay.
At the concluding day of the party’s State executive council meetings held here on Thursday, the party leadership resolved to go all out and all alone to take on the ruling party.
“With qualities like compassion, graciousness and a strong ideological as propagated by Deen Dayalji, our party cadres should trigger a silent revolution to come to power in 2019 elections and this we need to do by showing the report card of the three-years rule of NDA government,” said Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya, while addressing the leaders and party cadre.
If the party can poll 5 per cent more votes, the BJP would win the elections hands down. The party leaders urged the cadre to explain the unconstitutionality of the State government’s decision to increase the reservations for Muslims.
“BJP’s commitment to Backward Classes has been appreciated by one and all. The Congress party has opposed the BJP government’s decision to give Constitutional status,” the party leader predicted. The party leaders said the State government’s flagship programmes like Mission Bhagiratha and Mission Kakatiya were being funded by the Centre.
“TRS is surviving only on publicity. Even the courts have struck down the State government’s orders. It shows that the government is losing ground,” the leaders said.
BJP’s Mahila Morcha workers were equally hopeful and confident that the BJP would win in 2019 elections. ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ and ‘Swacch Bharat Mission’ were designed to protect self-respect of women, said Akula Vijaya, State President of the Mahila Morcha.
