Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MLA V Srinivas Goud exclaimed that the opposition got jittery after the success of TRS public meeting at Warangal on Thursday. He said the opposition was unable to digest the massive response the party got from the people of the State.

Addressing a press conference here at the TRSLP office, Srinivas Goud said lakhs of people attended the public meeting and this had blocked the minds of Congress leaders. He said the TRS party meeting was a big success. He claimed, for a public meeting in Russia 1,450 tractors were used, which was a Guinness record but for the TRS meeting more than 10,000 tractors were used.

He said the party would approach the Guinness world record authorities for the record tractor turnout in the public meeting. The public meeting should be called the agriculture festival of the happy farmers in the State, he said. The TRS leader alleged that the Congress and TDP were responsible for numerous suicides of the farmers in the State. He said the aim of the TRS government was to make the State suicide free.

Welcoming the government’s assistance of Rs 8,000 per acre to the farmers, Srinivas Goud said the Congress and TDP never thought about farmers welfare. Goud said the TRS leaders were ready to go for by-elections to test who had people’s support, the Congress or the TRS. There are 12 MLAs in Congress and if any one of them is ready to resign and go for by-elections then it will be clear whom the people will support, he added.
