Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) general secretary D Sravan on Friday slammed IT Minister K T Rama Rao for his comments against All India Congress Committee (AICC) Vice-President Rahul Gandhi.

The Congress leader while addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan on Friday, said Rama Rao should realise that truth is always bitter. He felt that the TRS was falling apart and it led to its leaders making unsavoury remarks on the
Opposition.

He alleged that the Minister had lost his mental balance after Rahul fired a salvo at TRS government and its anti–people policies at the public meeting in Sangareddy on Thursday.

Sravan suggested that Rama Rao should come to the terms with grassroots reality and understand the sufferings of farmers, students, unemployed youth and poor people of Telangana.

"It is because TRS government failed to stand by the deprived sections, Rahul Gandhi came to the State to give the voice to the voiceless in Telangana. "There is no comparison between corrupt and tyrannical Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s family and service-oriented Sonia Gandhi’s family," he said.

Sravan challenged that Rama Rao should come for an open public debate on prevailing family rule and their corruption in Telangana. Instead of responding to vital questions related to farmers, unemployed youth raised by Rahul Gandhi, Rama Rao is raking up insignificant issues, he added.
