Hyderabad: Taken aback by the statement of the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao that the Miyapur land scam had not caused any loss to the exchequer and the decision of the TRS MP K Keshava Rao to advise his family members to cancel the land deal, the Congress party has decided to call on the Governor ESL Narsimhan and submit a memorandum to take action against those involved in the scam by using his discretionary power as per Section 8 of AP Re-organisation Act.

The TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy, on Wednesday, said that they are unable to understand how the Chief Minister claimed that there was no loss to the exchequer. He said that it is evident that Rs 15,000 crore worth land was illegally registered in the name of private persons.

Goldstone Prasad, who is the key accused, has close links with all top people in the government. A close family member of Prasad is holding important position in the CMO, he said.

"KCR, who repeatedly alleged in the erstwhile united State that Seemandhra rulers were looting the resources of Telangana, is doing the same after the formation of the new State.

Only CBI probe will bring out all the facts relating to the scam," Uttam and Jana Reddy said. Another senior leader V Hanumantha Rao urged the TPCC president to lead an all party delegation to Prime Minister to demand CBI probe.
